Description: As part of Design x Nine, a student design studio under the guidance of our professor and art director, I worked on the brand identity for Passage Maine. Passage Maine is an organization providing compassionate end-of-life doula services. The client sought an identity that conveyed peace, tranquility, and support.

I created a monogram logo using the letter “P” to represent Passage, shaping it to symbolize both the journey of life and the gentle care the organization offers. The design incorporates blue, evoking elements of nature like water and sky, suggesting serenity and reliability. To complement this, light pink was used to add a gentle, nurturing tone.

The logo features symbolism: one half of the “P” forms a butterfly in flight, representing transformation and new beginnings. The other half takes the shape of a plant, signifying growth and a connection to nature. These elements work together to reflect the organization’s mission of guiding people through peaceful transitions.

As a team, we presented five logo options to the client. Although this direction was not chosen by the client, this project demonstrates my ability to blend thoughtful symbolism with design choices to align with a brief.
