Description: For this awareness campaign, I addressed a critical but often overlooked issue: the prevalence of eating disorders in athletes. Created as a school project, the campaign explores how disordered eating is often masked as discipline in competitive sports.
The concept centers on the “Gold Medal Diet”—a term that captures the dangerous mindset of sacrificing health for the sake of victory. One of the key visuals shows athletes biting into a gold medal, a familiar symbol of success in sports. In this context, it takes on a darker meaning—being consumed by the symbol of victory at the expense of well-being. The word “DIE” in “diet” is highlighted in red across campaign materials to emphasize the life-threatening nature of these behaviors.
The campaign includes magazine ads, a protein powder mockup, a website landing page, a poster, and outdoor advertising. A stark black-and-white palette with pops of red, bold all-caps typography, and layered type textures create a high-contrast, urgent tone.
This project combines research, visual storytelling, and design strategy to raise awareness and challenge the glorification of harmful behaviors in athletics.
